Introduction to our school
Runnymede St Edward's is an Independent Catholic Primary School for boys and girls aged 3-11 years, welcoming children of all faiths.
The school is built on the tradition of our founders, the Congregation of Christian Brothers. Based on their vision, Runnymede is a place in which individuals can develop fully, contributing as happy and caring members of a school community. Children’s unique talents are valued, and they learn to live as well-mannered, self-disciplined and confident individuals.
Located in Sandfield Park, West Derby, Liverpool, Runnymede has a long tradition of providing an outstanding all-round education. The school holds and excellent academic record and we are proud of our musical and sporting tradition.
We are the Choir School for junior Choristers of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King in Liverpool.

‘All-Through’ Academy Consultation
St Edward’s College has commenced a consultation period which will run from 12th September 2016 to 10th October 2016, for a proposed ‘all-through academy’ for boys and girls aged 4-18 from September 2017.
For all enquiries relating to the consultation, please refer to the consultation paper. No Runnymede staff have access to any information in addition to that included within the consultation paper. All enquiries not answered by reference to the consultation paper must be put in writing to the Clerk to the Governors of St Edward’s College no later than noon on Monday 10th October.
There will be a public meeting relating to the consultation held in the refectory of St Edward’s College on Wednesday 5th October at 5pm.
